I realize that he’s got the same paleface/dark sunken eyes makeup as in every Tim Burton movie, but Johnny Depp as a vampire is just…so…inspired. (And by “inspired” I mean “ridiculously, beyond-all-human-comprehension sexy.”) I still would like to see the original Dark Shadows television show, though, to compare and contrast the portrayals of Barnabas Collins.

But character depictions aside…oh, I’d simply forgotten how necessary it is for this man to be in my pants…

Just got home from a long, looong day in the city. Had a treasurer course this morning in lower Manhattan, then the annual benefit for GRASP in midtown tonight.

In the interim, I went to see Dark Shadows, which was pretty awesome. I haven’t been into Johnny Depp as much lately as in the past, but he was just…hngghh…in this movie. Very sensual indeed. Why he hasn’t played a vampire before now is beyond me. Go king Johnny, go.
